Privacy policy
How we handle your account, biodata, photographs, contact details, and activity while helping you search for a meaningful match.
Effective 17 July 2026
1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Best Forever Matrimonial (also referred to as “Bestforever”, “BFM”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles personal information when you visit our website, create an account, submit a matrimonial biodata, browse profiles, reveal contact details, register for a Melava, make a payment request, or otherwise use our services.
Our service is intended to facilitate introductions for lawful matrimonial purposes. It is not a dating service and does not guarantee a match, engagement, or marriage.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
Depending on the service you use, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender, marital status, religion, caste or community, education, profession, income, location, family details, lifestyle information, partner preferences, photographs, biodata documents, and other details you choose to include in a matrimonial profile.
We also collect information submitted when you contact support, register for a Melava, request wallet credits, record a payment, create a PDF biodata, or ask us to correct or remove information.
Information created through your use
We may record profile searches, saved profiles, contact-reveal authorisations, wallet-credit transactions, registration progress, moderation decisions, event registrations, payment status, and account activity needed to provide and secure the service.
Technical information
Our systems may receive your IP address, browser and device information, referring pages, session identifiers, cookies, security logs, and basic usage information. We use this information to keep you signed in, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and understand how the service performs.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information only for purposes connected with operating and improving Bestforever, including to:
- create and secure your account and resume unfinished registration drafts;
- create, review, moderate, publish, update, or retire matrimonial biodatas;
- show approved and live profiles in relevant searches;
- protect contact information and record authorised contact reveals;
- manage wallet credits, payment records, Melava registrations, and private biodata PDFs;
- send service messages, security notices, moderation updates, and support replies;
- detect fraud, impersonation, scraping, harassment, and misuse;
- meet legal, accounting, audit, and regulatory obligations; and
- analyse service performance using information that is aggregated or minimised where practical.
Where consent is the basis for processing, you may withdraw it by contacting us or discontinuing the relevant service. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully completed and may prevent us from continuing the service you requested.
4. Matrimonial profile visibility
A completed biodata is not automatically public. Profiles may appear in public search only after review and approval and while they remain live. Registration drafts and generated PDF biodatas remain private.
Approved profiles may display information intended to help prospective matches evaluate compatibility, including photographs and selected personal, educational, professional, family, and preference details. Protected contact details are not displayed on public search cards. A signed-in member may receive access only through the authorised contact-reveal process, which may use wallet credits.
If you create or manage a profile for a relative, you confirm that you are authorised to provide and manage their information. Please do not upload another person’s photographs, contact details, or biodata without permission.
Although we apply access controls, no online service can prevent every screenshot, copy, or misuse by another person. Share only information appropriate for matrimonial discovery and report suspicious behaviour promptly.
5. When information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We may share or make information available only as needed:
- to visitors or members according to the profile visibility and contact-access controls described above;
- to administrators and authorised staff who moderate profiles, support members, manage events, or maintain records;
- to service providers supporting hosting, storage, communications, analytics, document generation, security, or verified payment processing, subject to appropriate obligations;
- when you choose an external payment gateway or communication channel;
- to comply with law, court orders, lawful government requests, or to protect members, BFM, and the public from harm; or
- as part of a genuine business reorganisation, subject to continued protection of the information.
A gateway handoff is not treated as payment confirmation. Payment status changes only after an authorised record or verified server-side confirmation.
6. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and transaction records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods may differ for accounts, public profiles, private drafts, payments, support records, and security logs.
When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymise, or securely restrict it. Some backup, audit, payment, moderation, or legal records may remain for a limited period after an account or profile is closed.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and access-control safeguards. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and devices secure and for informing us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
7. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law and identity verification, you may ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information about you;
- provide access to or a summary of that information;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- withdraw consent or stop optional communications;
- close your account, remove a profile, or erase information that we are not required to retain; and
- review a concern about how your information has been handled.
Owner edits to a live biodata may require fresh moderation before the profile becomes visible again. Marking a profile as married removes it from public discovery while preserving records needed for administration and compliance.
Cookies required for authentication, security, and core site operation cannot always be disabled without affecting the service. You can manage other cookies through your browser settings.
8. Eligibility and children
Bestforever is not intended for children. You may create or use a matrimonial profile only if the person concerned is legally competent and of lawful marriageable age under the laws that apply to them. If we learn that ineligible information has been submitted, we may remove it and suspend the related account.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, practices, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date and may provide an additional notice for material changes.
10. Contact and grievances
For privacy requests, corrections, account or profile removal, or a grievance, contact us with your registered phone number or email and enough detail to identify the relevant record.
